The Minish Cap

It's... a good game. A great game, even. It falls a little short towards the end, in my opinion, but only really because the beginning sets it up to be so great.

The new weapons are awesome, and the returning weapons aren't the treasure of the main dungeons this time around, which is awesome. The new dungeons are pretty good, too; they're all enjoyable, but the latter two of the five are quite large and fun.

Really, the whole game feels like a Zelda game where they trimmed the fat and what's remaining - the core Zelda gameplay - is here, but developer Flagship (of Capcom) took the liberty of adding lots of awesome new stuff. Where I felt The Wind Waker was a boring trip of a game that didn't build upon the Zelda legacy enough but dragged on too long, The Minish Cap is almost the opposite. It's a boat load of fun, and I only wish it could have lasted longer and felt more epic (it's still pretty darn long for a GBA game). It's funny that, in my opinion, Minish Cap is by far the better Zelda game of this generation - and not only is it on GBA, it wasn't even developed by Nintendo themselves.

Highly recommended.

I do want to note, however, the ending is kind of... well, I was hoping for something more exciting.
